Funeral services for Robert Schauer, 18, who died
Saturday, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, at St.
John’s Lutheran church, Rib Falls. Burial was made in the

Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schauer, now
of Rib Falls, is known in this community. When the Schauers
operated the former Hull and Holton cheese factory on Highway 13,
east, Robert attended the Wright rural school. He was graduated
from Marathon high school last June, after which he was employed at
the Alex Karlen cheese factory in the town of Cassel.
Robert was ill only a short time and was admitted
to St. Mary’s hospital, Wausau, Friday. Death was caused by
meningitis.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two younger brothers, Norman and Harold, and sisters, Dorothy and Janet, all at home. The maternal grand mother, Mrs. Bertha Schauer, of Abbotsford, and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Means, of Owen, also survive.
