Fecker, Adeline (16 Mar. 1876 - 3 Oct. 1951)

Funeral services for Mrs. George Fecker, 75, who died Wednesday morning, will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s church, Colby, Wis. Burial will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. The body was taken today from the Zink Funeral Home to the Fecker home in the town of Hull, where a rosary service will be held Friday evening.

Mrs. Fecker had accompanied her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Fecker, to New London on Saturday, Sept. 22, to visit her daughter, Mrs. Ervin Schimke, and her son, Ervin, at Winneconne. On Sunday she became ill and was taken to the Community hospital at New London, where she was a patient until her death, ten days later.

Mrs. Fecker was born Adeline Schaller, at School Hill, Wisconsin, March 16, 1876. On July 6, 1898, she was married at Holy Trinity Catholic church to George Fecker in a double wedding ceremony that included her sister, Angela, and his brother, William. Both couples lived to celebrate together their golden wedding anniversaries three years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Fecker lived at School Hill until 1911 when they came to a farm in the town of Hull.

Mrs. Fecker is survived by five children, John, Abbotsford; Mrs. Ervin (Leone) Schimke, New London; Ervin, Winneconne; and Harry, town of Hull; and Clarence, on the home farm, town of Hull. Twin daughters died in infancy and her husband preceded her in death, March 24, 1950.

Twelve grand children and ten great grand children also survive, and two sisters, Mrs. John (Angela) Fecker, of Milwaukee, formerly of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Guetschow, of Colby, Wis.
