Domer, Elaine Jeanette (Marriage - 8 Sept. 1951)

On Saturday, Sept. 8, Myron Greaser, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Greaser, of Abbotsford, took for his bride, Miss Elaine Jeanette Domer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Domer, of Unity, Wis. The nuptial ceremony was performed in the Unity Methodist church with the Rev. Frederick Smith of the Unity Methodist church, officiating.

The bride’s ballerina length gown was made of white satin and Chantilly lace with a lace detachable jacket. Her finger tip veil of imported net illusion fell from a seed pearl Juliet cap. She carried a white orchid on a white Bible.

Miss LaVon Domer, sister of the bride, of Minneapolis, was maid of honor. , Miss Elaine Falck, cousin of the bride, of Appleton, and Miss Anna Mae Kerske, friend of the bride, of Marshfield, were bridesmaids.

The gowns of the attendants were styled alike with velvet strapless bodices and matching stoles and ballerina length nylon tulle skirts. The headdresses were like the bride’s, trimmed with rhinestones. They carried bouquets in the shape of a wedding band with sprays of wheat, fall leaves and white chrysanthemums, set on a background opposite the color of the attendant’s frocks - green for the maid of honor and shrimp for the bridesmaids.

Miss Bonnie Jean Voss, cousin of the bride, of Dorchester, was the flower girl. Her dress of white nylon over shrimp taffeta was also ballerina length. She wore a matching ribbon in her hair and carried a white basket filled with petals of fall flowers which she dropped as she preceded the bride down the aisle.

The mother of the bride was dressed in a white piped navy crepe with which she wore navy accessories and a corsage of white carnations tied with red ribbon.

Attending the groom were his brother, Ross Greaser, of Abbotsford, as best man, and friends, Warren Phaneuf, of Marshfield, and Robert Miller, of Abbotsford, as ushers.

During the ceremony, Wayne Salter sang "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer," accompanied by Mrs. Gladys Loughead at the piano. Mrs. Virgil Nulton was organist.

Decorations in the church were carried out in fall colors with baskets of fall flowers.

After the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors. There were about 100 guests from Eau Claire, Abbotsford, Colby, Unity, Marshfield, Stevens Point, Minneapolis, Athens, Milwaukee, Hortonville, Appleton, Baraboo, Waupaca, Stillwater, and Dorchester, Wis.

When the couple left on a trip to Canada, Mrs. Greaser wore a dawn gray gabardine suit, piped with light gray, to which was pinned an orchid corsage. Black velvet accessories completed her traveling ensemble.

On their return, they will make their home on the Irvin Wunsch place on Highway 29, west. Mr. Greaser, who is a graduate of Abbotsford high school, and a four year veteran of the U.S. army, is employed at the Marathon-Clark Cooperative Dairy Association. His bride, a graduate of the Unity high school, is secretary at the St. Croix Corporation, at Unity, Wis.
