Miss Marjorie Mildbrand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mildbrand, of Curtiss, and Julius Witt, son of Mrs. Alex Witt exchanged marriage vows at the Lutheran parsonage at Dorchester, Saturday afternoon, June 9, at 2:00 o’clock. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler read the double ring service.

The white suit and accessories chosen by the bride for her marriage were accented by a shoulder corsage of red rosette roses and stephanotis. The same flowers were combined to make a head piece.

Attending the couple as best man and matron of honor were Mr. and Mrs. Val Wojner, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.

Miss Grace Mildbrand, Curtiss, sister of the bride, and Robert Mueller were the other attendants.

Mrs. Wojner wore a suit of pastel pink with a corsage of yellow and white carnations. Miss Mildbrand wore an aqua suit and a corsage of pink and white carnations. They wore a white carnation in their hair.

Mrs. Mildbrand, mother of the bride, wore a green dress with white trim and Mrs. Witt, mother of the groom, wore a suit of gray plaid. They had identical corsages of red and white carnations.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and was attended by about 90 guests. In the evening, friends of the bridal couple, of Abbotsford and Curtiss, gave them a shivaree.

Mr. and Mrs. Witt left on a wedding trip to northwesten Wisconsin and are now living in Abbotsford where Mr. Witt and Val Wojner are proprietors of the Abbotsford Wrecking Co.
