Butler's Corners

Last Monday Ed Powell swapped a heifer for a grey mare and Thursday he swapped three yearling steers and $15 for a grey horse. Jim Brown and Dellmotter were the owners of the horses.

Last Saturday John Gilbrett called at the corners and brought a pleasant shower of rain with him.

Saturday Wm C. Butler and Jim Brown will make Greenwood lively, and they finished a job of turnpiking in the town of Mead.

Last Friday Dave Butler had quite a time in capturing what he supposed to be a raccoon, but when he got it caged, and the neighbors had been called in to see it, they pronounced it a woodchuck.

Isaac H. Butler wintered two swarms of bees and they have turned out four swarms all ready, three going into the woods to find homes for themselves.
