Noeldner, Laura (24 NOV 1945)

Miss Laura Noeldner, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Noeldner, became the bride of Verland Dux, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dux, in a double ring ceremony read at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24 in the Trinity Lutheran church here. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated, and the bride’s nieces, Misses Beverly and Maridene McCann sang "O Perfect Love" and "Be Thou Our Guide," with Mrs. Marvin Seeman as accompanist. Special decorations, a lattice fence in the colors, white, pink, and blue opened with a gate, through which the bridal party passed to approach the altar.

For her wedding, the bride wore a white satin and net gown styled with a basque buttoned to the waist in the back, a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves coming to points over the wrists. Her voluminous over skirt of net swept into a long train, and her fingertip veil of illusion was caught to a crown of seed pearls. Her pearl necklace and earrings were gifts of the groom, and she carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Dux, a sister of the bride and brother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hinkelmann, close friends of the bride and groom, and Roberta Rottjer and Nathan Noeldner, niece and nephew of the bride.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Dux and the bridesmaid, Mrs. Hinkelmann, wore identical frocks of pink and the blue marquisette styled similarly to the bride’s. Matching headdress and blusher veils completed ther costumes, and they carried pin k and white carnations. Both wore earrings and pearls, gifts of the bride.

The flower girl, Miss Rottjer, wore a peach colored frock, carried a colonial bouquet and wore pearls. Nathan Noeldner was ring bearer and carried the rings on a white satin pillow. Ushers were Harold Dahl and Everett Dux, cousins of the groom.

Mrs. Noeldner, the bride’s mother, viewed her daughter’s wedding in a dark blue suit, while Mrs. Dux, the mother of the groom, wore a dark brown dress. They both had shoulder corsages.

Following the ceremony a supper and reception were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Rottjer, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Seventy five guests attended. Blue, pink and white streamers, caught with a three tiered wedding cake, baked by Mrs. Floyd McCann, sister of the bride. The cake was topped by a miniature bride and groom.

That evening a dance was held in the Neillsville armory, with Lucht’s orchestra providing the music.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Dux were graduated from the Loyal high school, and Mrs. Dux has been employed at Emma’s beauty shop. Mr. Dux is engaged in farming.

Guests included Mrs. Margaret Noeldner and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McCann and daughters, Beverly and Maridene of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hagedorn, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hagedorn, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dux and family and Mrs. Minnie Dux, all of Neillsville.

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for happiness.
