Local Items

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Oehldrich and family, Hilbert Oehldrich and Miss Ruth Karstedt, Cleveland, came Saturday morning and left Monday morning. They visited the Herb Neuhaus and Mrs. Alvina Miller homes and with other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. George Vetter, son, Tom, the Misses Mary and Carol Dolan, and Louis Janda, attended a football game at Eau Claire Sunday afternoon, and visited Mrs. Vetter’s mother, Mrs. Martin Ausman and other relatives.

The ladies from St. Bernard’s Altar Society who attended the Clark-Jackson Deanery meeting, held at Loyal, Thursday afternoon, were Mmes. Leo Bumann, Clarence Dolan, John Michlig, Oscar Seidel, Vern Steffen, George Vetter, and Lawrence Weix, and Miss Jean Bumann.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hanson were at Withee Monday at the Russell Westendorf home. They brought back their little grand daughter, Su Ellen. Mr. Hanson was helping there again on Tuesday as a crew is building a new barn to replace one that was burned to the ground when it was struck by lightning on Oct. 16.
