Zimbal, Phyllis C. (Marriage - 6 Nov. 1948)

Phyllis C. Zimbal and Floyd DeLos Bowen, of Curtiss, were married Saturday afternoon in a candlelight service at the Norwegian Lutheran parish hall, Curtiss. The Rev. G. E. Borreson performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. L. Blodogett, Flemington, N.J., is the mother of the bride, and the groom’s mother is Mrs. Ethel Bowen.

Attending the couple were Lester Bowen, the groom’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gayken and Miss La Vade Smith, all of Loyal.

A pale pink crepe gown was worn by the bride. The fitted bodice was designed with a lace yoke outlined by a crepe flare. Her bouffant skirt ended in a train and she wore matching mitts. A tiara of pink roses held her short veil and bouquet consisted of roses and pompons.

Miss Smith, as maid of honor, was gowned in aqua taffeta and had matching flowers in her hair. Mrs. Gayken, as bridesmaid, was dressed in a blue marquisette gown with a tiara of matching flowers. Both had corsages of pink roses and white carnations pinned to their shoulders.

A reception and dinner were held in the parish hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Bowen will reside at Curtiss, where the groom is employed by the Bowen Trucking Service.
