Klick, Valeria V. (2 JUN 1952)

Raymond Michael Teclaw claimed Miss Valeria veronica Klick as his bride on June 2, 1952 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp. Father Hebert Zaromski performed the double ring ceremony at a nine o’clock nuptial mass.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Pearl Klick and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Teclaw, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.)

Bouquets of colored gladioli adorned the church altar. Norbert Teclaw, brother of the bridegroom, sang the "Ave Maria" during the service.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her brother, Erun Klick. She chose a gown fashioned with Chantilly lace bodice, double net over satin skirt, ballerina length, and short sleeves. Lace gloves and a ballerina length veil completed her costume. Her veil was held in place by gathered net ruffles and orange blossoms. She wore a triple string of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Red roses and lilies of the valley composed the bridal bouquet.

Miss Marcella Teclaw, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor, and Miss Sylvia Cieslek, a friend of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. Paula Teclaw, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. The maid of honor was attired in a blue gown styled similar to the bridal gown, and she wore a headpiece decorated with yellow daisies. The bridal aide’s gown was of blue and her headpiece has blue daisies while the little flower girl appeared in an all white net over taffeta frock, ballerina length, and a white net headpiece. She carried a basket of flowers. The bridal attendants each carried a colonial bouquet of yellow and blue daisies centered with a yellow rose. White drawstring evening bags were the bride’s gifts to her attendants and the flower girl received a gold locket.

Robert Klick, brother of the bride, served as best man.

The mother of the bride attended in a dark blue flowered print dress accented with a corsage of white and red roses. The mother of the bridegroom pinned a similar corsage on her dark blue print dress.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bridegroom’s parents for 90 guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Teclaw will make their home in Minneapolis.
