Neverman, Henry #2 (4 SEP 1837 - 29 SEP 1908)

Tuesday morning death stalked among us and this time carried away the soul of Henry Neverman. Monday evening Mr. Neverman was working in the garden and suffered a stroke of apoplexy, from the effects of which he did not recover, dying early Tuesday morning.

Mr. Neverman was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, Sept. 4, 1837. On Nov. 4, 1868 he was untied in marriage, and immediately he and his wife left for the United States, settling in Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), where he took up his trade as a carpenter. Ten children were born to them, all of whom remain to comfort the bereaved wife. The children are Mrs. Amelia Jackson, Fred, Jule, Edward, Mrs. Mort Tompkins, May, Della, Viola, Mrs. John Minta and Alice. Wm. Neverman of White, Idaho and Fred Neverman of Germany, brothers of the deceased, also survive him.

Mr. Neverman was a genial, whole souled gentleman who had many excellent traits of character. He worked hard during his days of activity to attain a substance for himself and family. In his dealing with his fellow man he was honest and conscientious. He was always smiling and pleasant and his words of cheer will be greatly missed by his many acquaintances.

The funeral will be held at the home this afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Risser will preach the sermon.
