Kleinstick, Betty (Marriage - 4 Mar. 1947)

Miss Betty Kleinstick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kleinstick, exchanged marriage vows with Orville Van Slett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Van Slett, in a double ring ceremony, Tuesday morning. The Rev. John Novak read the service in Sr. Mary‘s rectory, at Greenwood.

The bride wore a pink wool suit, a small black hat, trimmed with pink roses and the bride and her attendants all had black gloves and purses. Her corsage was made of pink gladioli and white narcissi.

Attending her as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Norman Brocker, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She wore a white suit dress and white felt hat. Her corsage was like the bride’s.

Miss Ruby Lindberg, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid. She wore a wool suit of grey with a pin stripe and a pink hat. Her corsage was made of yellow jonquils and white narcissi.

Attending the groom were Russell and Arthur Van Sleet, of Unity, brothers of the groom.

About 40 relatives attended the reception and dinner at the home of the bride’s parents. The pink and white color scheme was carried out in the crepe streamers which decorated the dining room and the large bridal cake with many pink roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Van Slett left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee, after which they will be at home at Abbotsford for the present. Mr. Van Slett is helping his father at logging and in the spring will go back to farming.
