Theresa started her life's journey June 30, 1915, in Stevens Point, the eldest of 10 children born to Martin and Mary (Weyer) Felckowski, which part of her family later shortened to Feltz. She attended St. Peters grade school, and then graduated from Emerson High School. Theresa was a volunteer during the Depression for the NYA and later was employed by the federal government as a bookkeeper. It was while attending the wedding of a friend that Theresa met the love of her life, Otto E. Schillinger. They were united in marriage Oct. 26, 1940, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1990. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church.

Following her marriage, she and her husband purchased Puckers Cafe in Marshfield. In 1962, they built the present Marshfield Cafe, which they operated as Otto's Grill as the family business, until 1979, when they retired from the restaurant business, but continued to buy and sell antiques out of that location until 1983.

Theresa enjoyed sewing, making many of her children's and grandchildren's clothes and gardening and preserving the fruits of their labors. She and her husband enjoyed dancing, attending many area dances.

Following the death of her husband, Theresa moved from the home they purchased in 1947, to the Angelus Retirement community. She resided there until her present illness. She greatly enjoyed all of the activities offered there and the many friends that she had made while residing there.

Theresa's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her two sons, Wayne (Kathy) Schillinger of Marshfield, James (Maria) Schillinger of Scottsdale, Ariz., and her daughter Patricia (Jerry) Orth of Owen. Those children provided Theresa with four grandchildren, Heidi (Clint) Zank of Neillsville, Erik (Tammy) Stinson of Owen, Jamie (Robin) Schillinger of Tucson, Ariz., and Jennifer (Thomas) Allerdings of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and 6 great-grandchildren, Brayden Zank of Neillsville, Roy and Lilli Stinson of Owen, Tanner and Timothy Allerdings of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Jayden Schillinger of Tucson, Ariz. She is further survived by sisters Lucy Waldher, Minneapolis, Minn., Loretta Schmid, Milwaukee, and Lillian Erdman, Tacoma, Wash.; brothers Chester Felckowski, Stevens Point, and David (Gloria) Feltz, Bolingbrook, Ill., many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents, husband, Otto, and infant daughter, Mary, two sisters, Genevieve Konopacky, Eleanor Somers, and brothers, Emil Feltz and Richard Feltz.

Theresa's family would like to extend their deepest and most sincere thank you to the staff of the Angelus Retirement Community, who took such wonderful care of their mother during the past 10 years, to the staff of 3 North and Palliative Care of Saint Joseph's Hospital as well as to Theresa's longtime physician Dr. Thomas Sell, and most recently, the staff of 2 West at the Clark County Health Care Center. The family would also like to thank Dr. Michael Claessens of the Palliative Care department of Saint Joseph's Hospital/Marshfield Clinic for his wisdom and guidance on Theresa's final journey.
