Hermanson, Serena #3 (17 OCT 1884 - 20 NOV 1951)

Saturday afternoon, Nov. 24th, funeral services were held from the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Curtiss, who passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20th, 1951, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Mrs. Hermanson had been hospitalized for two weeks following a stroke.

Rev. O. K. Odland officiated at the final rites and burial was made in the parish cemetery. During the service Clark Nissen, accompanied by Miss Mary Thompson, sang "City Four Square."

Pallbearers were Albert Bakke, Cornell Erickson, Morris Mioland, Gust Becken, Ernest Mowery and John Lokken. Those in charge of the floral offerings were Carol Erickson, Mrs. John Lokken, Mrs. Ernest Mowery, Mrs. Fred Laabs, Mrs. Orville Laabs and Mrs. Ralph Peterson.

Mrs. Hermanson was born Oct. 17, 1884, in Norway, where she received her education. Her marriage to Marcus Hermanson took place in Eau Claire in 1909. They lived on a farm in Hoard until seven years ago, when they retired and moved to the village of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.). Mrs. Hermanson and her daughter had spent the summer of 1928 in Norway. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Arve and Henry, Book, Ind.; a daughter Mrs. Harold (Martha) Laabs, Curtiss; six grandchildren and a sister in Norway.
