Borgemoen, John (31 OCT 1890 - 5 NOV 1951)

John Borgemoen, 61, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 5, 1951 at Mt. View Sanitarium, Wausau, where he had been a patient since May 9, 1946. He was born Oct. 31, 1890 at the home farm in Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) where he grew to manhood.

He was married on Oct. 14, 1916 to Manda Floden in Clark, S.D., and lived on the home farm until 1929, when the family moved to South Dakota where they lived until 1939. He then returned to Wisconsin and operated farms near Cherokee and Curtiss, when his health failed and he was admitted to Mt. View Sanitarium.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Rudy (Bernita) JasKela of Newell, S.D.. Two sons, Maxwell of Oak Park, Ill., Victor at home, and two grandchildren, one brother, Oluf Borgemoen, Chelsea; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Schiszik, Curtiss, Mrs. Joe R. Spencer, Abbotsford; Mrs. Wm. Steinke and Mrs. Milla Lott, Curtiss. Two sisters, Mrs. Otto Dunow and Mrs. Frank Hrunek preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday P.M. from the evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. O. K. Odland officiating. Burial will be made on the family lot in the parish cemetery.
