Riegert, Alice Elizabeth (Marriage - 11 June 1946)

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Heindl are now at home to friends in Medford where Mr. Heindl is employed at the Hurd Millwork Corporation. The account of their marriage follows:

In a solemn nuptial ceremony in Sacred Heart Catholic church, Stetsonville, the Rev. A. W. Heindl presided at the wedding of his brother, Eugene John Heindl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Heindl, Abbotsford, to Miss Alice Elizabeth Riegert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Riegert, Stetsonville, on Tuesday morning, June 11 at 9:00 o’clock. The Rev. Joseph Seeboth, deacon, and the Rev. Robert Oberwinder, sub-deacon, assisted.

Francis Heindl, brother of the groom, was master of ceremonies, and Bernard Brandner and James Heindl served as acolytes at the Nuptial Solemn High Mass. Melvin and Norbert Brandner, nephews of the bride, ushered.

The bride wore a gown of white lace net over satin, styled with a V neckline on the fitted bodice, long sleeves coming to points over wrists, and a full skirt ending in a long train. A beaded tiara held in place her full length veil, edged with two rows of lace, and she carried a bouquet of red, white and pink carnations.

The bride’s attendants were Miss Wilma Riegert, her niece, as maid of honor, and Mrs. Frank Hollman, her sister, and Miss Helen Heindl, the groom’s sister, as bridesmaids. Clarence Riegert, Frank Hollman and Urban Heindl served the groom. The maid of honor was attired in a yellow gown of lace and net; Mrs. Hollman wore a pink dress similar to the bride’s and Miss Heindl a blue ripple crepe gown. All wore matching blusher veils, with white accessories, and had shoulder corsages of carnations.

The mother of the bride wore a white flowered jersey dress and the mother of the groom was attired in black, both wearing corsages of colorful carnations.

At the Riegert home, which was decorated in yellow, blue, pink and white, about 100 guests gathered for the reception and later attended a dinner and dance in the Dorchester recreation hall.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. George Riegert and family and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Riegert, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Rose Steil and son, Chester, and John Steil, Des Plaines, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Wuest and son, John, Calvary *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
