Wesneski, Anna M. (30 JUN 1951)

Miss Anna Mae Wesneski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesneski, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Arvid Lindgren, Owen, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the First Congregational Church at Curtiss with the Rev. H. D. Wagner, Owen, officiating.

Attending the bride were Mrs. Walter Johnson of Chicago, Ill., the groom’s sister, as matron of honor, and Mrs. George Behringer, Owen; Mrs. Joseph Ackerman, Jr., Curtiss; and Miss Norma Wesneski, Owen, all sisters of the bride, as bridesmaids. Miss Caldawn Lindgren, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.

The groom was attended by Vaner Lindgren, Loyal, his brother, George Behringer, Owen, Joseph Ackerman, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Duane Komis, Milwaukee, cousin of the bride.

Axel Lindgren, brother and Walter Johns, brother-in-law of the grooms, respectively, ushered for the ceremony.

The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white marquisette over heavy white satin, with ruffled yoke and long pointed sleeves. Her long blusher veil was caught to a tiara of net and pearlized blossoms, and had appliquéd hearts at the end of the train. She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of white carnations, red roses and lilies of the valley.

The flower girl wore white net over taffeta, fashioned similar to the bride’s, with a full skirt caught up at the hem with rose buds. A white picture hat trimmed with rose buds and a miniature bouquet like the bride’s completed her attire.

All four bridal attendants wore gowns of net and lace over taffeta in yellow, green, orchid and pink respectively, with matching picture hats and carried nose gays of matching carnations with contrasting ribbons.

The bride’s mother chose a rose linen dress for the occasion and wore a corsage of red roses and white carnations.

A supper was served at 5:30 at the house of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a graduated of the Owen High School. The groom, who served in the U.S. Army for three years in the European Theatre, now owns and operates a milk route and farm near Owen. Following a wedding trip in northern Wisconsin they will reside on his farm.
