Catlin, Dorothy (2 FEB 1945)

With a simple single –ring ceremony performed by Rev. Arthur R. Oates in the Presbyterian parsonage at Marshfield at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, Miss Dorothy Catlin, daughter of Mrs. Perl Catlin of Loyal, became the bride of Lawrence Charles Schubert, A/S, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Schubert of Marshfield.

For the occasion, the bride chose a white suit dress edged with black, a white hat and black accessories. She wore a corsage of red roses, and her jewelry was a gold locket, a gift of the groom’s mother.

Her maid of honor, Miss Dorothy Stewart of Marshfield, wore a powder blue suit dress. Her corsage was of chrysanthemums. Tony Bohman of Marshfield was best man.

The wedding and the 8 o’clock dinner which followed at the home of the groom’s parents were attended by the immediate relatives. The wedding cake was made by the bride’s mother.

Miss Catlin attended the Loyal high school. For over a year she has been employed by the Roddis Lumber and Veneer Co. of Marshfield and will continue as an employee there.

The groom attended the Marshfield high school. He has but recently completed his "Boot" training at Great Lakes, Ill., and returned there Wednesday night. From there he expects to be sent to San Diego, Cal.

Those from away who went to Marshfield to attend the wedding were Mrs. Perl Catlin of Loyal and Mrs. L. Schubert of Nasonville, grandmother of the groom.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
