Florence Juzwiak

Thorp--Florence Juzwiak, 98, Thorp, died at 12:02 a.m. Sunday at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, with the Rev. John Puerner offciating. Burial will be in New St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Thorp.

Visitation will be at Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday with a combined parish and Knights of Columbus rosary service at 7:30.

She was born April 16, 1891, in Poland, to Joseph and Alexandria Piwoni. She was married to Walter Juzwiak June 26, 1909, in Thorp. He died May 16, 1969.

She lived and farmed in the Thorp area until 1966. She then became a resident of Thorp. For the past six months, she had been a resident of Oakbrook Manor Nursing Home, Thorp.

She was a member of the Thorp American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by four sons, Walter and Raymond, both of Thorp, Frank of Glenview, Ill.; three daughters, Helen Panek of Chicago, Viola Stier of Livonia, Mich., and Lottie Wojtkiewicz of Boyton Beach, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by one son, four brothers and one sister.
