Henning, Mary Caroline (3 December 1879 - 7 December 1951)

Mrs. Ernest Henning, age 72, died at her home on Court Street on December 7, at 10:40 a.m., following an illness of three years.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home, and at 2:15 p.m. from the Zion American Lutheran Church in Pine Valley, the Rev. Leonard Domke officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Henning, nee Mary Caroline Boy, was born December 3, 1879 to Charles and Augusta Boy in the Town of Newton, Marquette County. She received her education at Westfield and was married there on December 2, 1898 to Ernest Henning. They moved to a farm in the Town of Weston, where they resided for 30 years. They moved to the city three years ago.

Mrs. Henning was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband and the following children, Arthur Henning, Libertyville, Ill.; Mrs. Walter (Anna) Freid, Eau Claire; Mrs. John (Ella) Kollas of Eau Clarie; Alfred Henning, Montesano, Wash.; Mrs. Walter (Emma) Jensen, Racine, and Herbert Henning on the home farm; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Zuelke, Montello, Wis., and Mrs. Tillie Kohnke of Westfield. Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

One daughter, Edna, and two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were: Louis Nemitz, Arnold Ebert, William Lueck, Herman Hagedorn, Alvin Meihack and Antone Meihack.

Wilfred Galstad, the soloist, was accompanied at the piano by Miss Lois Karnitz.

Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Gordon Sharratt, Mrs. Tony Karnitz, Mrs. Arnold Ebert, and Mrs. Art Dux.

Wilfred Galstad sang tow selections accompanied by Lois Karnitz at the organ.

Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Arthur Dux, Mrs. Arnold Ebert, Mrs. Louis Nemitz, Mrs. Tony Karnitz and Mrs. Gordon Sharratt.

Pallbearers were: Tony Meihack, Arnold Ebert, Louis Nemitz, William Lueck, Herman Hagedorn and Alvin Meihack.
