Waldhart, Margaret Valleria (Marriage - 1 Sept. 1945)

On Saturday, Sept. 1, a beautiful wedding took place in the Zion Lutheran church at Colby, when Miss Margaret Valleria Waldhart, who was given in marriage by her father, William Waldhart, became the bride of Roger Roland Kobs, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Kobs, all of Colby, Wis. Vows were exchanged at 11:45 a.m. with the Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating.

The bride wore an entrained gown of white slipper satin, long sleeves coming to points over the wrists, a sweetheart neck line, and inserts of lace in the front and back of the gown. Her long veil edged with lace ended in two large bows on train. She wore a necklace of two strands of pearls and matching ear rings, the gift of the groom. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Phyliss Waldhart, Spencer, cousin of the bride. She wore a frock of blue, designed with a satin bodice, three quarter length sleeves and full skirt of net. Her head dress was a shoulder length veil. She carried a Colonial bouquet which had a long, white bow. She wore pearls.

The best man was Norman Kobs, brother of the groom.

Other couples in the bridal party were Miss Della Gosse, cousin of the groom, and Wallace Waldhart, brother of the bride, of Colby; Miss Jean Neitzel and Pfc. Clyde Waldhart, just home from Italy, of Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thede, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, Colby; Miss Jeanette Stecker, friend of the bride, and William Waldhart, Jr., brother of the bride, Colby, Wis.

These bridesmaids were all gowned alike in frocks of white, with fitted bodice, three quarter length sleeves, full net skirts with appliquéd flowers down the front. Each wore a two strand pearl necklace and matching ear rings, gifts of the bride, a white shoulder length veil and carried Colonial bouquets with blue ribbons.

The junior attendants were Miss Wanda Stacke, Curtiss, niece of the bride; and Gilbert Waldhart, brother of the bride. Miss Stacke’s gown and accessories were like the bridesmaids’ in blue.
