Pretsch, Lottie (4 March 1875 - 17 December 1951)

Mrs. Reinhold Pretsch, 76, of Neilslville R. 1, died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Byno (Mary) Lloyd last Monday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted Thursday from the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial was made in the Town of Pine Valley (south) Cemetery, the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiated.

Mrs. Pretsch, nee Lottie Sawall, was born March 4, 1875, to Frederick and Anna Forine Sawall in Sauk County. She received her education in the rural schools there.

On March 23, 1892, she was married to Reinhold Pretsch in Sauk County. They farmed there until 1916, when they moved to Clark County and located on the Burton Wells farm on the River Road. They resided there for several years; then moved onto a farm in the Town of Hewett, where they lived until Mr. Pretsch’s death in 1938. She then made her home with her children.

She is survived by the following children: Fred of Shortville, Howard of Spring Green, Reinhold of West Allis, and Mrs. Byno (Mary) Lloyd of Neillsville; two brothers, George Sawall of Merrimac, and Ewald Sawall of California; a sister, Mrs. Carl (Emma) Gibbs, of Prairie du Sac, 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mabel, died in infancy; and two sisters, two brothers and her husband preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were: A. B. Wightman, Christ Mohr, Otto Gehrt, Otto Wetzel, Fred Mohr and William Milbreit.

Miss Jean Kosmosky sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Virgil Nulton.

Out of town people attending the services included: Reinhold Pretsch of West Allis, Mrs. Damon Bauer and Howard Pretsch of Spring Green, and Mrs. Carl Gibbs of Prairie du Sac.
