Freimund, Herman (21 Oct. 1889 - 29 Nov. 1944)

Funeral services for Herman Freimund, 55, Town of Holton farmer, who died Wednesday morning will be held Saturday afternoon at the home where the body was taken Thursday. These will be followed by services at 2 o’clock at St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester, with the Rev. J. Brandt officiating.

Mr. Freimund was with a party deer hunting north of Medford when he was stricken with a heart attack, Monday. After a search of about four hours, Mr. Freimund was found slumped over a log. He was taken to the Medford clinic where he remained in a coma until his death at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Herman Freimund was born in the town of Holton, Oct. 21, 1889. He was married in November, 1913, to Miss Elsie Speck, also of the Town of Holton.

For a number of years the family lived on a farm near Stratford but for the past three years have been living at the present location, northeast of Milan.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Artemus Weis, Spencer; and Mrs. Stanley (Eleanore) Konkel, town of Johnson; two sons, Darrell, Stratford, and Roland, at home. There are six grand children.

One brother, Charles, of Brantwood, and five sisters, Mrs. Henry Parge, of Abbotsford; Mrs. Frank Aller, Marshfield; Mrs. Emma Schaus and Mrs. Alvina Taxis, Chicago, and Mrs. Armanda Brauswietz, of Stratford, also survive.
