Schultz, Walter Herbert (12 July 1919 - 20 Jan. 1963)

Walter Herbert Schultz, son of Mrs. Arma Schultz of Colby and the late Edward Schultz, died in Mission, Texas, early Sunday morning at the age of 43 years, a heart attack being the cause of his death. Funeral services are being held this Thursday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment will be made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Schultz was born in Auburndale on July 12, 1919, and never was married. He is a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School, Colby High School and the University of Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Navy, taught in the Antigo school system for five years, operated a Surge agency at Elkhorn for some time, and, at the presente time, was in Mission, Texas, supervising the installation of a milking parlor.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Arma Schultz of Colby; two brothers, Donald of Stratford and Jerome of Colby; three sisters, Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) Winkler of Unity, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Milkins of Racine, Mrs. Floyd (Marcia) Sossaman of Hales Corners. His father, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Walter Herbert Schultz were held last Thursday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Elmer Dehne, Kenneth Schultz, Terry Sossaman, Robert, Dennis and David Winkler.

Out-of-town people here for the funeral were Mrs. Leo Schernick of Clintonville, Joseph Schernick of Lakewood, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Prunty of Bear Creek, Raymond Russ and Mrs. Ena Hansen of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Russ and Christie of Superior, Francis Fisher of Lake Delton, Mr. and Mrs. William Buckmiller of Westboro, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jacobs of Rib Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Harold McGown of Spencer, Dennis Winkler of Whitewater, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schultz and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mulkins and family of Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sossaman and children and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Netzler of Hales Corners, Mrs. Dorothy Winkler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Winkler and Jerry Suckow of Unity, Wis.
