Wolf, Anna Mathilda (27 Nov. 1890 - 19 Jan. 1963)

Mrs. Anna Mathilda Wolf died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Saturday, Jan. 19, at the age of 72 years. Funeral services were held in St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday morning and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Louis Jakel, Elroy Gutenberger, Herbert Firnstahl, William Hackel, Roy Langjean, Al Beyerl.

Anna Tesmer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Tesmer, was born on a farm one mile west of Colby on November 27, 1890, where she lived as a girl. After her marriage to John Wolf on June 8, 1921, in Colby, the couple lived on that farm and operated it. This was her home her entire life except a few months at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen. She was a member of St. Mary’s church, the Women’s Catholic Order of Forester and Christian Mothers. Her husband passed away in 1960.

Surviving are four children, Vernard of Burlington, Mrs. Kenneth (Marie) Peterson of Tomah, Robert and Celia of Colby; 17 grand children; one sister, Mrs. Ed (Olive) Smith of Marshfield and William Tesmer of Colby, Wis. Besides her husband, preceding her in death were one child, John, who died in infancy; four brothers; one sister.
