Krejci, Darlene (Marriage - 20 October 1951)

Miss Darlene Krejci, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Krejci, became the bride of Frank Celar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Celar, at a ceremony performed at the First Congregational Church at Neillsville on Saturday, October 20. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Banks Blocher. Vows were repeated before an altar banked with baskets of mixed fall flowers.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in the traditional white satin. It was fashioned with a nylon yoke, a shoulder ruffle trimmed in rhinestones and a full length train. Her fingertip veil fell from a beaded crown. She carried a bridal bouquet of yellow roses.

Her matron of honor, Mrs. Fred J. Barr, a sister of the groom, was gowned in a lavender-rose satin dress with hat to match. Mrs. David Winkel, a sister of the bride, and Mrs. Bud Schlinsog acted as her bridesmaids. They were attired in green taffeta gowns with matching hats. They carried colonial bouquets.

Bill Celar acted as best man and David Winkel and Bud Schlinsog were the groom’s other attendants. Robert Schoengarth and Ellis Winkel ushered.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for approximately 100 guests. The house was decorated with lavender, green and white streamers, white wedding bells and baskets of flowers. A three tiered wedding cake was centered on the bride’s table.

The bride was graduated from the Granton High School and is employed as a bookkeeper in Greenwood. The groom is employed in farming. Guests were present for the wedding from Chicago, Ill., Beloit, La Crosse, Marshfield, and Sycamore, Ill.
