Kubat, William H. (? - 23 July 1951)

William H. Kubat has been interred in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Loyal. He died at Greenwood July 23, 1951, from a heart attack.

Mr. Kubat was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kubat, old residents of the Town of York. He attended dairy school at the University of Wisconsin and became a butter maker. He opened the first creamery at Humbird and later worked in factories in the southern part of the state. He returned to the Town of York and cleared a timbered farm. On this farm he resided 28 years. Two years ago he moved to a small farm within the limits of Greenwood.

Mr. Kubat married Mary Blecha in 1908, and she survives him. He is also survived by two brothers, Anthony of Portland, Oregon, and Edward of Overland Park, Kan.

The pallbearers were: John Krejci, Albert Barton, Leander Schuld, and Max Lucas, Neillsville; Paul Bladl, Owen; and Edw. Klinke, Greenwood.

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were: James Blecha, Pasadena, Calif.; Frank White, Chattaroy, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Edw. J. Kubat, Overland Park, Kan.; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wright, Sand Stone, Minn.; Mrs. Josie Nuernberg, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Klinke, West Bend; Mrs. Helen Hubing and son George, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bladl, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Sladek, Mr. and mrs. Norman Lynch, Neillsville.
