Goldamer, Elaine E. (Marriage - 16 Oct. 1941)

A wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Howard Speck was held Sunday at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Goldamer. A beautifully decorated wedding cake and cut flowers decorated the table at which a five o’clock dinner was served to about 45 friends of the bridal couple.

The marriage of Miss Elaine E. Goldamer and Howard M. Speck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Speck took place in the Lutheran parsonage at Bellevedere, Ill., Thursday afternoon at 3:30. The Rev. Gokey, pastor of the church, performed the ceremony.

For the occasion the bride chose a street length frock of light blue silk crepe made with a long waist and full shirred skirt. A band of appliqué trimmed the square neck and the bottom of the waist. A brown hat, other brown accessories and a corsage of mixed flowers completed her ensemble.

Mr. and Mrs. Speck left on a honeymoon trip to Iowa and Minnesota and returned here Saturday night. They will be at home in about a week in the upper apartment of the Carl Speck house.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Abbotsford high school. Before her marriage the bride was employed at Wing’s Drug Store and the groom is employed by Maurice Hutt at the Electric Motor Repair Service.

Albert Goldamer and Miss Jeanette Green, both of Milwaukee, were among the guests from away who attended the wedding reception and dinner.
