Colby - May 17, 1962

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ven Rooy at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital May 11.

Jake Hedler underwent surgery at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Monday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack spent Sunday at Oshkosh with their son-in-law and daughter.

Mrs. F. W. Schwantes is spending several weeks in Milwaukee with her son-in-law and daughter.

Mrs. Otto Wilde, who suffered a heart attack Monday afternoon, was taken to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital for treatment.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Hunt of Escanaba, Mich., May 9. Stuart is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hunt of Colby, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Borchert and family of Mankato, Minn., spent Mother’s Day with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Borchert.

Mr. and Mrs. Lenhardt Wiersig of Austin, Minn., spent the week-end with the former’s mother, Mrs. Walter Wiersig, and brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kobs.

Mrs. Matilda Pacholke left today, Thursday, for Eau Claire, where she will help her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mueller move into their new home which they recently purchased.

Mrs. Theo. Lueloff and daughter, Gertrude of Colby and Mrs. Ted Salter of Marshfield, spent the week-end with Reuben Lueloff and family at Milwaukee, the Orland Lueloffs at Sharon and the Lawrence Fielder family and the James Kempers at Chicago, Ill.

Mrs. Ethel Wood of Edgerton is spending the week with her sister, Mrs. Elsie Hauser, her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. James Hauser of Colby, and her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. John Dittner of Spencer. She attended the funeral of her uncle, Herman Behrens.

Week-end visitors at the home of Mrs. Matilda Pacholke were Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Krueger of Green Bay, Mr. and Mrs. George Greaser of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ed Pacholke of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pacholke and *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
