Behrens, Herman Emil (15 Nov. 1877 - 8 May 1962)

Herman Emil Behrens died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday morning, May 8, at 6:00 o’clock at the age of 84 years. Funeral services will be held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Friday, May 11, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. Carl Serr officiating and burial will be made in the Colby Memorial cemetery (Colby, Wisconsin). The body is reposing in the Lulloff Funeral Home.

Mr. Behrens was born on November 15, 1877, in West Bend. He came to this area as a young man with his parents. He married Winnie Davis in the town of Hull on February 17, 1908, at the home of the bride. The couple lived in the Cherokee are their entire lifetime.

Surviving are his wife; six children, Ormond Behrens, Maurice Behrens, Reginald Behrens, Mrs. Clifford (Helen) Behrens, all of Marshfield; Richard Behrens of Colby; Mrs. Milan (Bernice) Knorr of Loves Park, Ill.; one brother, William Behrens of West Bend; one sister, Mrs. Lester (Bertha) Lussenden of Chippewa Falls; 13 grand children; two great grand children.

One daughter died in infancy.

Mrs. Ethel Wood of Edgerton is spending the week with her sister, Mrs. Elsie Hauser, her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. James Hauser of Colby, and her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. John Dittner of Spencer. She attended the funeral of her uncle, Herman Behrens.
