Chris, Mary (8 SEP 1875 - 12 APR 1949)

Mrs. Mary Chris, 75, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home near Abbotsford after having been in poor health for more than five years. She had suffered a stroke a short time ago.

A rosary service will be held this evening at 8 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home, where the body will be in state until the time of the funeral services, which are scheduled Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The service will be held in the afternoon because of Good Friday. The Rev. Raymond Schultz is the officiating clergyman. Interment will take place in Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Mary Chris was born Sept. 8, 1875, and had been a resident of Abbotsford since 1900. She was an honorary member of St. Bernard’s Altar Society.

Surviving children are Ben, Gary, Ind.; Steve, Mercer; Mrs. Claude (Lillian) Hammel, Chicago; Mrs. A. J. (Clara) Kleinstick, Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Frank (Lucia) Zondlo, Rib Lake; Mrs. Charles (Rose) Knaack, Owen; and Clarence, at home.
