Brehm, Otto (4 Aug. 1900 - 8 Feb. 1962)

Otto Brehm died at his home in the town of Hull, Thursday, Feb. 8, at the age of 61 years, a heart attack being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Rev. Ralph Koelmay officiating and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mr. Brehm was born in the town of Hull on Aug. 4, 1900. He received his education in the Cherokee Grade School and in the Colby High School. He married the former Marjorie Hamilton on Nov. 10, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minn. Since his marriage he engaged in farming.

Surviving are his wife; a son, David, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Amos (Shirley) Foster of Green Bay, Mrs. Wilmer (Iris) Brandt of Wausau, Mrs. John (Ilene) Phillips of Woodstock, Ill., and Mrs. Walter (Roberta) Schneider of Edgar; 12 grand children; three sisters, Miss Sylvia Brehm and Mrs. Julius Schmidt of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Della Reyer of Colby; a brother, E. A. Brehm of Colby, Wis.

Harry Bender, C. A. Nelsen, Mrs. Ed Sasse and Mrs. Earl Robertson, accompanied by Mary Vorland on the organ, sang "God Will Take Care of You" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pall bearers were Robert, Rodney and Niles Hamilton, Kenneth and Melvin Brehm and Roland Reel.

Out-of-town people attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Nile Frederick, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Frederich, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Frederich, Mrs. Ralph Nayes of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Hulgar Nielsen of Glenwood City, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Vedder of Withee, Mrs. Nels Peterson, Ann Peterson, Mrs. Myrtle Munson, Mrs. Neva Dremm, Leslie Dickensen, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Talcott, Mr. and Mrs. Willmer Bandt and sons of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Brehm of Athens, Robert Hamilton of Round Lake, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Hamilton and Miss Sylvia Brehm of Evanston, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips of Woodstock, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schmidt of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Niles Schmidt of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Foster and family of Green Bay, Walter Schneider and Salley and Mrs. Thresa Foster of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bandt and Mrs. August Bandt of Chile, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schneider, Jr., of Edgar, Mrs. August Strebe of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Unger of Owen and many other relatives and friends from the surrounding area.
