Huber, Arthur G. (23 Oct. 1908 - 22 Aug. 2002)

Spencer, Wis. - Arthur G. Huber, 93, of Reedsburg, formerly of Spencer, died Aug. 22, 2002, at the Sauk County Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Community Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Kevin Kohnke officiating. Internment will be in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sauk County Health Care Center in Reedsburg would be appreciated.

The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg is serving the family.

Arthur was born Oct. 23, 1908, in Marathon County, the son of Wenzel and Amelia "Molly" (Stelzl) Huber. He was united in marriage to the former Dora Oelrich on Dec. 15, 1932. Art was a barber in Spencer for over 70 years. His luxury in life was his music. He played guitar, harmonica, ukulele and mandolin. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Dora Huber of Reedsburg; son, Ronald (Helen) Huber of Reedsburg; daughter, Nancy (Terry) Stevens of Land O’Lakes; five grandchildren, Mark (Jan) Huber and Brad (Mary Jo) Huber, both of Reedsburg, Rick (Theresa) Huber of Wisconsin Dells, and Curt and Rhonda Stevens, both of Land O’Lakes; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ted (Alice) Huber of Spencer; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Edward; and five sisters, Ella Matter, Frieda Hoops, Vera Mellenthin, Sophia Oelrich and Ada Taylor.
