Bargenquast, Sadie (Marriage - 21 Jan. 1941)

Miss Sadie Bargenquast, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Bargenquast, Town of Johnson, was united in marriage to Edwin Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hoffman of Abbotsford on Tuesday morning at nine o’clock. The Rev. Frank Brickl performed the ceremony during the nuptial mass in the St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan.

For her marriage the bride wore a silver trim gown of blue velvet, floor length, and silver slippers. Her pale blue chiffon veil which was shoulder length, was held in place by a bandeau of light blue flowers. She carried a shower bouquet.

The bride was attended by Miss Gertrude Van Rooy who wore a floor length silk gown of cherry red with gilt trimming and slippers. A bandeau of rose flowers from which fell a dusky rose shoulder length veil and corsage of mixed flowers completed her ensemble.

Clarence Chris attended the groom as best man.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and dinner served to immediate relatives.

In the evening, a wedding dance was held at Ipsen’s hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman are making their home with the groom’s parents on their farm south-east of Abbotsford, Wis. Mr. Hoffman assists his father in operating the farm.
