Wiernasz, Helen (25 NOV 1950)

Miss Helen Wiernasz, daughter of Mrs. Angeline Wiernasz of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Richard Gac, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gac of the Town of Maplehurst, Taylor County, in a ceremony performed by Father Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on Saturday morning, Nov. 25th, 1950, at 9:00 o’clock.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white velvet with long train and a fingertip veil. Her wedding bouquet consisted of a lavender orchid, white pompoms and white chrysanthemums.

The couple was attended by Edward Budrus as best man and Louise Wiernasz, bridesmaid, who wore a cerise velvet gown. Other bridesmaids were Alice Rataiczyk and Elizabeth Dranginis, both attired in cerise velvet dresses.

Mrs. Lyle Asselin, who was matron of honor, wore teal blue velvet. The attendants of the bride wore velvet hats which matched their gowns with contrasting plumes and the bride’s gift of rhinestone chokers and earrings. Their bouquets of white chrysanthemums were on their muffs which matched their gowns.

The groom and his attendant, and the ushers, Raymond Gajda, Paul Gajda and Lyle Asselin, wore tuxedos.

A reception to the couple was held at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp with many relatives and friends.

The newlyweds are residing in Thorp, where the groom is employed at the Wiernasz Meat Market.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Miss Louise Wiernasz, Racine, Wis.; Miss Alice Rataiczyk, Paul and Ray Gajda, Mr. and Mrs. Casimir Plasiak and son of Chicago, Ill.; Casey Gajda and son of Berwyn, Ill.
