Orth, Marie Margaret (Marriage - 19 Nov. 1940)

Miss Marie Margaret Orth was given in marriage by her father, George Orth, to Albert Bramucker, Dorchester, in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Tuesday morning at nine o’clock. The Rev. C. D. Brady performed the double ring ceremony and read the nuptial high mass. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Orth; the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bramucker, Dorchester, Wis.

For her wedding the bride wore a gown of white taffeta, fitted bodice with buttons down the back, long sleeves with shirred inserts and a long train. Her lace edged veil fell in graceful folds from a seed pearl tiara. She carried an arm bouquet of pink and white carnations. Her only bit of jewelry was a gold cross and chain, a gift to her from the groom.

Miss Ermine Orth, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor in a satin gown of raisin color. Miss Rose Bramucker, Chicago, sister of the groom, in a gown of aqua blue taffeta and Miss Marie Hebel, Dorchester, cousin of the groom, in royal blue taffeta, attended as bridesmaids. The three attendants wore royal headbands with shoulder length veils matching their respective gowns. Silver slippers and wrist corsages of baby chrysanthemums and carnations completed their ensembles.

Raymond Bramucker, Dorchester, brother of the groom, as best man, Raymond Orth, brother of the bride, and Rudolph Kugel attended the groom.

Following the church ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents to about 18 guests. Among the guests from away were the Misses Rose and Irene Bramucker, sisters of the groom, from Chicago.

In the evening, the bridal couple greeted their many friends at a wedding dance at the Trianon Gardens.

Mr. and Mrs. Bramucker will make their home on a farm east of Dorchester, Wis.
