Rossman, John (23 SEP 1868 - 27 JUN 1950)

Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home on Friday afternoon, June 30th, at two o’clock for John Rossman, 81, who passed away at his home in Gilman of a stroke on June 27th, 1950. Rev. Wilde of Cornell officiated.

The deceased was born in Charlestown, Calumet Co., Wis., on Sept. 23, 1868. He was a resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and the Town of Reseburg, for some time in earlier das, and was united in marriage here on June 17, 1903 to Annie Frese who survives him. They lived in Thunderhawk, S.D. for several years and then moved back to Polley, where he lived a number of years and then moved to Gilman, where he resided at the time of death.

Besides his wife he is survived b one brother, Henry Rossman of Thorp, three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Bushman, Gilman, Mrs. Anna Ver Down, Sparks, Nevada and Mrs. Hannah Black, Puyallup, Wash.

He was laid to rest in the east Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leonard Rossman, John Rossman, Gerald Couilard, Reuben Rossman, Milton Seaman and Harvey Seaman.
