Blanke, Vera (Marriage - 12 Nov. 1960)

Vera Blanke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mueller of Abbotsford, and Kenneth Strohkirch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Strokirch of Owen, were united in marriage in the Christ Lutheran parsonage at Abbotsford, Saturday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 P.M., Rev. F. H. Sprengler reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ward of Milwaukee, the latter a cousin of the groom.

The bride was attired in a brown wool suit styled with three-quarter length sleeves, rounded neckline accented with crystal jewelry. She also wore a brown and beige feathered hat. Her corsage consisted of yellow cymbidium orchids. Her attendant wore a dark blue suit with a white feathered hat. Her corsage consisted of yellow roses and frenched carnations.

Following the ceremony, supper was served members of the immediate family at the Casa Grande. The table was centered with a double ring wedding cake and bouquets of yellow and white pomps.

After a trip to western states, the couple will be at home in Colby, 609 S. Main. The groom is employed at the American Box Board plant in Colby and the bride is employed at Marge’s Flowers in Abbotsford, Wis.
