Izydorek, Johanna (22 MAY 1875 - 9 FEB 1950)

Mrs. Stanley Izydorek, who had been visiting with her daughters at Chicago for three weeks, fell ill and passed away at a Chicago hospital on Feb. 9, 1950. She would have reached the age of 75 years in May.

The body was brought here on Sunday and rosary service was held on Sunday evening at the Thorp Funeral Home.

Johanna Nabbefeld was born in Appleton, Wis., on May 22, 1875. She was untied in marriage to Stanley Izydorek on Feb. 15, 1897 at Chippewa Falls. She moved here with her husband and family in 1915 and located on a farm just east of Thorp where they lived until they came to the city in 1946, and have since resided here.

She is survived by her husband, three sons, John of Minneapolis, and Raymond and Edmund of Thorp; four daughters, Florence, Mrs. Henry Ehlert, Josephine, Mrs. Joseph Novotny, Eleanore, Mrs. Victor Revolinski of Chicago, and Lillian, Mrs. Stanley Shaw of Stanley; three brothers, Gerald Nabbefeld of Ottumwa, Iowa, Henry Nabbefeld of Chippewa Falls and Albert Nabbefeld, Editor of the Cadott Sentinel, Cadott, Wis.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Sunday morning, Rev. Francis Piekarski officiating, and burial being made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adam Lesniewski, Ed Przybylski, John Zdrojkowski, Paul Konieczny, Thomas Gunia and Peter Wnek.
