Wargolewicz, Peter (27 JUN 1852 - 16 JAN 1950)

Peter Wargolewicz was born in Poland on June 27, 1852 and died at his home on Jan. 16, 1950, at the age of 97 years and 7 months.

He was united in marriage to Miss Katherine Prusazick at Albion, N.Y. on Sept. 14, 1890. Twelve years later they came to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where they started farming and he resided here until his death.

He is survived by his wife, also by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Klugiewicz and Mrs. Helen Mamayek of Milwaukee, and eight sons, Thomas, Joe, John, Walter and Anthony of Milwaukee, Steve of Cudahy, Wis., Frank and Stanley of Thorp, and thirty-five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning, Revs. Francis Piekarski, Ernest Kaim and J. Kamla officiating and interment following in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were six grandsons, Irwin Wargolet, Raymond Wargolet, Marion Wargolet, Richard Wargolet, Richard Mamayek.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wargolet, daughter Angeline, son Raymond, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Klugiewicz, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mamayek, Mr. and Mrs. John Wargolet and family, Mrs. Henry Slowiak, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mamayek, Mrs. Barney Mamayek, Joe Wargolet, Anthony Wargolet, Walter Wargolet, Marion Wargolet, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wargolet and Irwin, of Cudahy, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Debowski and daughter Mary, John Klugiewicz of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Klugiewicz and son of Stanley.
