Kademan, Sharee (Marriage - 18 June 1960)

St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church at Green Grove was the setting for the wedding Saturday, June 18, of Miss Sharee Kademan and Robert L. Uhlig who were married by the Rev. H. A. Timmermann during a two o’clock afternoon service.

Parents of the bride are deceased and she has made her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kademan of Curtiss. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Uhlig, Abbotsford, Wis.

"Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Bunee Kraut accompanied by Mrs. Elaine Boss, organist.

Bouquets of pink and white gladioli decorated the church altar as the bride came before it to be married. She wore a gown of Chantilly lace and tulle fashioned in floor-length with a full skirt, long sleeves, and a V neckline with scattered sequin trim. Her headpiece was a crown-style of sequins and pearls holding a fingertip veil of imported illusion veiling. She carried a cascade arrangement of red roses, stephanotis and ivy with roses, buds tied in the streamers.

Miss Carol Buss came from Minneapolis to be maid of honor at the wedding and Miss Janet Hartl came from Onalaska to be bridesmaid with Miss Karen Kademan of Curtiss.

They were escorted in the bridal party by Donald Kademan of Dorchester, Norbert Hartl of Onalaska, and Don Oehler of Abbotsford, Wis.

The bridal aides wore dresses in ballerina length of lace and net with matching lace jackets, pleated skirts, and cap-style headpieces in matching colors with face veils. Blue and white carnations were carried by the maid of honor to match her blue dress and the bridesmaids’ were in pink and white to match their pink dresses.

Marlyn Laabs and Dick Seefluth ushered wedding guests.

The afternoon reception was held at the Harvey Kademan home and supper was served in the church basement. The Trianon Ballroom was the scene of the wedding dance.

Mrs. Uhlig is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and her husband of the Abbotsford High School. He is employed as a carpenter.

Their honeymoon will take them through the northern part of Wisconsin and when they return they will live at Abbotsford, Wis.
