Grambort, Walter R. (7 Mar. 1906 - 1 June 1960)

Walter R. Grambort, a native of Colby, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at the age of 54 years, a heart attack being the cause of his death. He was working at the stock yards when he became ill and was taken home where he died. Funeral services are being planned for Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at the Lulloff Funeral Home, where the body is reposing, Rev. F. H. Sprengler, pastor of Christ Lutheran church in Abbotsford, officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife; three children, Ronald, on a farm west of Abbotsford, James and Darlene, at home; five brothers, Edwin and Gilbert of Abbotsford, Hubert of Ashland, Lt. Col. Everett of San Francisco, Calif., and Fred of Chicago, Ill.; five sisters, Miss Malina Grambort of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Edmund (Antonia) Doyle of Chicago, Mrs. Axel (Albert) Lidman of Chicago, Miss Edna Grambort of San Francisco and Mrs. Lester (Dorice) Guetschow of Stevens Point.

Mr. Grambort was well known in this area for his congenial disposition and his honest business dealings which helped create a big cattle business for him and his associates.
