Mueller, Ida (5 Oct. 1878 - 15 June 1959)

Mrs. Ida Mueller died Monday morning at 11:45 at the age of 80 years, a heart attack being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the First Evangelical and Reformed church, Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiating, and burial will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Ida Beyer was born in Germany on October 5, 1878, and came to the United States with her parents in 1880. She married August Mueller on April 6, 1904, in Wausau. They operated a hotel and tavern until their retirement nearly 20 years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Walter O. Mueller and Laurence A. Mueller, both of Colby; three sisters, Mrs. John (Minnie) Miller of Plummer, Idaho, Mrs. Chas. (Irene) Williams of Compton, Calif., and Mrs. William Beyer of Wausau. Mr. Mueller died in 1942. One son, Franklin, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mueller was a faithful member of the First Evangelical and Reformed church and the Ladies’ Aid. She was well known for her industrious and honest character, and, being friendly with kind ways, had many friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mueller were held Friday afternoon at the First Evangelical and Reformed church, Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Emil Wolk, Harold Klessig, Wm. Singstock, John Marks, Al Franz and Alvin Schmidt.

Out of town people her for the funeral were Mrs. Charles (Irene) Williams of Campton, Calif., Bill Beyer, Gust Beyer, Herman Beyer, Frank Beyer, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Rinehart and son, Rose Joyade, Mr. and Mrs. R. Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. N. Ritowski, all of Wausau, John Blunks and John Jallings of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koffarnus and family of Abbotsford, Hattie Mead and Mrs. Ed Leitzow of Dorchester, Mrs. George Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Arends of Marshfield, Mrs. Ted Baumgart of Unity, Mrs. Otto Zarnke of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson of Neillsville.
