Buse, Isabella (Marriage - 2 Sept. 1939)

Arnold W. Bruesewitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bruesewitz, town of Unity, was united in marriage to Miss Isabelle Buse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Buse, Town of Sherman, at 7 P.M. Saturday, September 2, 1939, at the Trinity Lutheran church, Spencer, Rev. C. A. Stapel officiating. The bride's aunt, Mrs. Albin Erickson, presided at the organ. Misses Bernice Buse and Elanie Huber sang "The Lord is Our Leader".

The bride wore a gown of white silk lace and net designed in princess style, with a finger tip veil and carried a bouquet of gardenias. The maid of honor, Miss Rhoda Buse, sister of the bride, wore a frock of pink silk marquisette and the bridesmaid, Miss Wilma Bruss, an embroidered silk net dress of peach color. Both wore wrist corsages of gardenias. After the ceremony a reception and wedding dinner was given to about 40 guests at the home of the bride's parents. Both church and home were decorated with baskets of cut flowers. A wedding cake and bouquet of cut flowers were the table decorations.

Both bride and groom are graduates of the Spencer high school; the bride graduating in the class of 1938 and the groom class of 1932. The bride is also a well known local musician, often playing the piano for public doings. The groom is the manager of the Farmers Co-operative Co. in Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruesewitz have gone on a trip through the Western states and will visit relatives in the states of Washington and California and also plan to attend the San Francisco Exposition and other points of interest. They will be at home after Oct. 1.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Albin Erickson and daughter, Janet and Miss Loraine Rusch, Wausau; Wm. Rusch and sons, Oscar and Harold, Loyal; Miss Lena Buse, Marshfield.
