Mr. and Mrs. Herbert L. White announced the marriage of their daughter, Pvt. Eunita White to Pfc. Thomas A. Schiro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schiro of Long Island, N.Y., at 5 p.m. on New Years day.

Chaplain E. P. Thorne officiated at the ceremony, which took place at Fort Dix, N.J., where Private Schiro is stationed.

The attendants were Pvt. Harrietta Phelps of Hastings, Nebr., and Cpl. Andrew Verdon of New York City.

The wedding trip of the Schiros was a three-day furlough spent in New York City and with the groom’s parents on Long Island.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school, class of 1935, left Loyal on June 1, 1943, and was stationed at Fort Devens, Mass., for basic training. She is a member of the women’s army corps and is now stationed at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation in Pennsylvania.
