Fruin, Theresa (11 July 1906 - 8 Jan. 1959)

Mrs. Lloyd Fruin of the town of Sherry, Wood county, (Wis.), died last Thursday afternoon in the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital at the age of 52 years, a heart ailment being the cause of her death. Funeral services were held Monday morning in St. Killian’s Catholic church in Blenker, Rev. Robert Oberwinder officiating, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Fruin, nee Theresa Lobner, was born on July 11, 1906, in the town of Sherry. She received her education in the Blenker schools, and, on July 23, 1923, married Lloyd Fruin in Blenker. Except for one and one-half years spent in Colby in 1955 and 1956, Mrs. Fruin lived her entire life in the Sherry area. While in Colby, the Fruins and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sweetz, operated what is now Mueller’s Bar and Grill.

Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Stroosma of Whitewater, Mrs. Harold (Marcella) Sweetz of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Ted (Ethel) Passer of Arpin, Mrs. George (Patricia) Schuler of Hampshire, Ill., Mrs. George (Marlene) Furo of Junction City; three sons, William of Milladore, Route 1, Lloyd, Jr., and George of Hampshire, Ill.; 31 grand children; two brothers, James and George Lobner of Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Mary Kollross of Milladore.
