Staples, Albert M. (2 Oct. 1861 - 23 June 1936)

Albert M. Staples died at his home two miles west of Abbotsford at five o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday June 23, 1936, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 21 days.

Mr. Staples was born in Green Lake County, where he grew to manhood on his father’s farm. He then went to South Dakota and bought a farm where he lived fifteen years. From there he moved to Minnesota where he resided three years. From there he went back to Green Lake County and worked a farm near Markesan for eight years. Since that time he has lived on the place near Abbotsford, Wis.

He was married to Lydia Gardimer May 22, 1889. Four children were born to them. Grace, who died Aug. 25, 1929; Nellie and Ray who are at home and Guy of Ardmore, Okla. He leaves his wife, three children, one grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Card, Grand Meadow, Minn., and Mrs. F. G. Walker, Hoquim, Wash., three brothers, George of Markesan, John of Milwaukee and Arthur of Hoquim, Washington.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. W. W. Card and son Clarence, Grand Meadow, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Staples of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
