Nelson, Emma (7 Feb. 1903 - 8 Oct. 1935)

Friends and acquaintances were shocked by the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Oscar Nelson. Mrs. Nelson died at 5:30 Tuesday afternoon at her home here, from the effects of heart trouble.

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church Friday at 2 o’clock.

Mrs. Emma Nelson was born Feb. 7, 1903 at Moscow, Iowa county. She was married to Oscar Nelson, April 9, 1928 at Black River Falls.

The deceased is survived by her husband; her father, John Heggesta; two sisters, Mrs. Ed. Jolivette, Abbotsford, Mrs. Arthur Erickson, Madison, and a brother, Lawrence Heggesta, Kearneysville, West Virginia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Nelson, who died at her home here last Tuesday, were conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Presbyterian church. Rev. L. C. Smith officiated and internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Pallbearers were Louis Schorer, John Miller, Irvin Bitters, Harvey Bitters, William Daley and Frank Bell.

Those in charge of the many lovely floral tributes included Mrs. Henry Ziebarth, Mrs. Herbert Braun, Mrs. Alvin Holtzhausen, Miss Elma Kauffman, Mrs. Carl Gust, Mrs. Louis Kauffman, Mrs. Jack Weideman, Mrs. William Berry, Mrs. H. H. Fiebig and Mrs. H. T. Ketcham.

Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Erickson, of Madison; Miss Selma Eidsmoe, Blanchardville, Mrs. Lena Nelson and sons, Walter, Obert and Gilbert, Miss Olga Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jarstad, Mrs. Wilma Sagernes and daughter, Northfield; Arthur Nelson, Minneapolis; Miss Stella Jolivette, Mrs. I. J. Jolivette and son, Robert, and Mrs. Mary Johnson, Greenwood; and Mrs. Lex Dusso and son, Louis, Atwood.
