Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Pohl of Milwaukee visited at the Pearl Vorland home Friday.

 

? Grauman is among the 648 freshmen at Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire.

 

Mrs. Louis Boehm left for Arpin where she will spend the winter at the Bethel Home.

 

 

Louie Becherer returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where he had been receiving treatments for pneumonia.

Mrs. Herman Singstock returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she underwent an operation on her arm for injuries resulting from a fall.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Block and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Miller, Jr., and Jerry Block of Chicago, Ill., were Sunday guests at the Harold Block home.

 

Ray Wollert attended the funeral of an aunt in Sheboygan Saturday. His mother-in-law, Mrs. H. A. Senkbeil, accompanied him and visited relatives there.

 

Word has been received from Mr. and Mrs. Eugene R. Wilde of Leesville, La., of the birth of a daughter, Dawn, weighing 6 lbs., 6 oz., on Oct. 23rd.

Mr. and Mrs. Allan Niemi of Withee are the parents of a baby girl born October 15th. Mrs. Otto Braun spent four days at Withee last week helping to care for her new grand daughter.

 

Mrs. Johanna Schultz stayed at the Harold Block home the past week after returning from the hospital. Mrs. Marvin Augustine and Dennis and Mrs. Art Schultz and children visited her Sunday afternoon.

 

Mrs. Theo. Lueloff and daughter, Miss Gertrude, spent the week-end with Orland Lueloff and family at Sharon where they attended the Christening of their baby boy, Christopher Theodore, born October 2nd.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Alois Gabriel and son, Tommy, spent several days in Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Gabriel’s sister, Mrs. S. E. Zavala, and children of Riverside, Calif., joined them there and returned to Colby with them for a visit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brehm and children, John and Paula, of Griffith, Ind., arrived Wednesday to spend the week-end with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Brehm. Rev. and Mrs. H. F. Leschensky of Hamburg were recent callers at the Brehm home.

 

Robert Sedlack of Oakland, Calif., spent the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack. While he was here, his wife visited in Montana. Week-end guests at the Sedlack home were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Habeck, and two sons of Sheboygan (Wis.).

 

Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Davis had as their week-end guest, her sister, Mrs. Wm. Dohrman of Mayville. She also visited with her brothers, William and Ben Dallman and families at Greenwood.
