Ewert, Charles (23 Oct. 1875 - 29 Sept. 1958)

Charles Ewert of Unity, age 82, died of a heart attack on a river bank near Tomahawk Monday morning at about 8:00 o’clock while he was getting his fishing paraphernalia ready to spend the day fishing. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Wisconsin, Rev. Robert Langseth officiating, and burial will be made in the parish cemetery in the town of Brighton.

Mr. Ewert was born on October 23, 1875, in Germany and accompanied his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ewert, six years later to the town of Unity, Wis. He was married there on April 17, 1901 to Emma Voight who died on September 8, 1956. The couple operated a farm in the town of Brighton until 18 years ago when they moved to the village of Unity, Wis.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George Strohman of Marshfield and Mrs. Irene Lynn of Wausau; three sons, Edwin Ewert of Wausau, Myron Ewert of Janesville and Walter Ewert at home; a sister, Mrs. Hulda Keith of San Lorenzo, Calif.; seven grand children, and six great grand children.
