Soefker, Mary (23 MAY 1925)

(From Sheboygan Press)

"A double wedding ceremony was performed last Saturday, May 23rd, 1925 by Rev. E.H. Opperman, when Miss Mary Soefker of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) was united in marriage to John Herzog, son of Mrs. E. Herzog of 1602 Sibley Court, and Miss Ida Herzog, daughter of Mrs. E. Herzog, was united in marriage to William Toerne of the town of Sheboygan Falls.

Mrs. Opperman played "Lohengrin's Wedding March." The church was attractively decorated with lilacs and pink and white streamers.

Mr. and Mrs. John Herzog have left on their honeymoon trip for Lake Linden, Mich., and through the northern part of Wisconsin, and will be at home after June seventh at Plymouth, Wis."

Mrs. Herzog is a former Greenwood resident and is well-known here, where she has many friends who join the Gleaner in extending wishes for many years of happy wedded life.

Mr. and Mrs. Herzog arrived her Monday noon for a few days visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer.
